The Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, has warned against the unauthorized use of tinted windows in vehicles across Abuja, vowing strict enforcement against violators.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, Disu noted that the regulation is aimed at curbing the rising threat of “one chance” criminals—those who exploit tinted vehicles to abduct unsuspecting passengers.
Since the deployment of a tactical team, the police have seized 296 vehicles for violations, including illegal tinted windows, use of single license plates, and tampered number plates.
The commissioner stressed that the ongoing crackdown is essential to improving public safety and reducing criminal activities in the Federal Capital Territory.
