Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) citing internal divisions and factional conflicts within the party.
In a letter dated January 30, addressed to the chairman of Aniocha North LGA, Nwoko expressed that the ongoing leadership crisis, particularly the contested national secretary position between Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye, along with the violent incidents at the recent board of trustees meeting, has made it impossible for him to fulfill his promises to his constituents.
He emphasized that the current structure of the PDP in Delta State was not conducive to advancing his goals.
Nwoko assured both his party members and constituents of his continued dedication to statesmanship and progress, stressing that his decision to resign was made in the best interest of his people.
His resignation has ignited discussions across social media, with many speculating on his next political move
