Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has surrendered to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba, after being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.
The allegations stem from a February 5, 2025, incident, where officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development were allegedly assaulted during an enforcement exercise in Ota.
While nine of his associates were arrested, Portable evaded capture, prompting the police to declare him wanted.
The singer had earlier claimed he was receiving psychiatric treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Abeokuta, but the Ogun State Police Command dismissed the claim, insisting he must face the charges.
Confirming his surrender, Lagos State Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, Portable just turned himself in at the SCID Yaba. and Ogun State Police Command have been contacted to pick him up.
Authorities urged the public to assist with any relevant information as investigations continue.
