And in the North Central derby, Kwara United returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Nasarawa United.
Action continues on Thursday in other match venues across the league.
Falconets Stars
In another development, two rising stars of Nigeria’s Falconets, Comfort Folorunsho and Adaobi Okah, have completed moves to Czech Republic D2 side Banik Ostrava.
Folorunsho, a defender, joins from Edo Queens, where she won the NWFL title last season, having previously played for Delta Queens.
Her teammate, Okah, arrives from University of Pittsburgh in the United States. The forward also had spells with Edo Queens and Remo Stars before moving abroad.
Banik Ostrava are currently pushing for promotion to the top tier of Czech football, and they hope the Nigerian duo will boost their squad.
