The “UBEC 2025–2027 Strategic Blueprint” was unveiled during a two-day management retreat held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Personnel from the Commission’s national, zonal, and state offices took part in the event.
According to a statement by UBEC’s Public Relations Officer, Mr David Apeh, the retreat was convened to align stakeholders on the new roadmap and refine the Commission’s implementation strategy. It also focused on improving monitoring and evaluation processes across all levels of basic education.
The retreat further sought to equip senior staff with leadership skills to enhance operational efficiency, promote interdepartmental collaboration, and strengthen accountability within the Commission.
UBEC Executive Secretary, Hajia Aisha Garba, called for greater collaboration among departments and with other education agencies. She highlighted the importance of supporting states in developing context-specific workplans that align with national priorities.
