A few weeks after hinting at his divorce from Annie Macaulay Idibia, Nigerian music legend 2 Face Idibia has publicly confirmed his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.
The announcement comes amid swirling rumours on social media, with many speculating that Natasha was the reason behind the singer’s separation from his wife.
In a video posted on his Instagram handle early Wednesday morning, 2 Face addressed the rumours head-on, describing Natasha as a “young, brilliant, and amazing woman” and firmly stating that she had no connection to the breakdown of his marriage.
“Honourable Natasha has been dragged into this situation, called all sorts of names, and labelled as a homewrecker. She is a young, brilliant, and amazing woman,” he said.
“She has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie. Yet, people are trying to wrongfully drag her into everything. Yes, I love her, and I want to marry her,” he declared.
The music icon’s revelation has sparked mixed reactions from fans and followers, with many expressing surprises at the speed of his new relationship following his separation from Annie.
Others have commended him for addressing the rumours directly and defending Natasha against public scrutiny.
2 Face and Annie Idibia, who have been together for over a decade, officially tied the knot in 2013.
Their marriage has been in the spotlight over the years, with the couple often sharing glimpses of their family life with their two daughters.
However, recent reports of their separation have dominated headlines, with 2 Face hinting at irreconcilable differences.
