
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has officially presented the Staff of Office to Alheri Bulus Nyako, marking his coronation as the first Tol Huba of Hong Chiefdom.
The event marks a moment of triumph for the Huba people, who had fought for years to establish their chiefdom.
Governor Fintiri emphasized that the creation of new chiefdoms and emirates in the state was a deliberate effort to correct historical imbalances and foster development, good governance, and unity among the people.
Encouraging the newly crowned Tol Huba, the governor urged him to lead with inclusivity and vision, mobilizing his people for progress across the fourteen districts under his domain.
A Pledge for equity
In his acceptance speech, Tol Huba Alheri Bulus Nyako acknowledged the over 100-year struggle that led to this historic moment.
He pledged to uphold fairness, justice, equity, transparency, and accountability, while working to ensure peace, unity, and security in alignment with the current administration’s goals.
Among the dignitaries at the event was the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, who was represented by the Wali Adamawa, Alhaji Abdulkadir Aminu Mbamba.
The paramount ruler expressed confidence in Tol Huba’s leadership, affirming his ability to meet the expectations of the Huba people.
A New Chapter for Hong Chiefdom
With this milestone, the Huba people embark on a new chapter, with hopes that their long-fought recognition will translate into socioeconomic growth, cultural preservation, and greater representation within Adamawa State.
