
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have emphasized the need for unity and reconciliation among party members to enhance their electoral prospects.
During a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Zephaniah Jisalo, urged the newly appointed FCT APC chairman to engage with aggrieved members and promote inclusivity within the party.
“I know some of our members are not present. We will reach out to them and address any minor disagreements because, in politics, everyone matters,” Jisalo stated.
Similarly, the Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, called for regular stakeholders’ meetings to strengthen party cohesion and strategic planning.
She pledged to lead APC’s campaign efforts ahead of the upcoming FCT Area Council elections and the 2027 general elections.
Representing the APC Zonal Chairman, Zonal Secretary Yakubu Adamu introduced the party’s new leadership at the ward, area council, and FCT levels.
He also encouraged the new chairman to establish disciplinary and finance committees to enhance party operations.
Newly appointed FCT APC Chairman, Abdulmalik Usman, assured party members of his commitment to securing electoral victories for the APC in future elections.
