
President Bola Tinubu has appointed six Chief Medical Directors (CMDs) for federal hospitals across six states.
They include:
- Professor Olusegun Sylvester Ojo – Federal Teaching Hospital, Akure, Ondo State.
- Professor Yusuf Mohammed Abdullahi – Reappointed CMD, Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe.
- Dr. Dauda Abubakar Katagum – Federal Teaching Hospital, Azare, Bauchi State.
- Dr. Ikrama Hassan – Federal Teaching Hospital, Lafiya, Nasarawa State.
- Dr. Ali Mohammed Ramat – National Orthopedic Hospital, Maiduguri, Borno State.
- Dr. Haruna Abubakar Shehu – Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan, Kaduna State.
A statement by Presidential Adviser Bayo Onanuga confirms that all appointments are for four years, effective from their assumption of office.
President Tinubu congratulated the new CMDs, urging them to uphold professionalism and accountability while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare services nationwide.
