President Bola Tinubu has signed into law the South-West Development Commission Bill, the South-South Development Commission Bill.
He also signed the Nigeria Anti-Doping Bill, 2025, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to national development and global competitiveness.
Senator Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, confirmed the assent in a statement on Tuesday, describing it as a milestone in inclusive governance and equitable regional development.
According to Senator Lado, the President’s approval of these bills reflects a strategic vision for national growth, emphasizing regional empowerment, economic transformation, and infrastructure advancement.
He highlighted that beyond policy formulation, President Tinubu remains focused on building a lasting legacy that enhances the well-being of all Nigerians.
The senator further noted that the establishment of the South-West and South-South Development Commissions aligns with the administration’s broader agenda, following the earlier approval of the South-East Development Commission.
He stressed that these commissions will serve as drivers of industrial expansion, employment generation, and social progress, ensuring that developmental policies benefit every region.
