
Five players bolster Super Eagles CHAN squad as full team trains in Ikenne ahead of 2025 tournament.
Five additional players have joined the Super Eagles’ home-based squad at their training camp in Ikenne as preparations ramp up for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, confirmed on Tuesday that the new arrivals include Musa Zayad (El-Kanemi Warriors), Aminu Adam (Kano Pillars), Anas Yusuf (Nasarawa United), Godwin Obaje (Rivers United), and Kabiru Mohammed (Kwara United).
Their arrival increases the total number of players in camp to 26, all of whom participated in Tuesday evening’s training session led by head coach Eric Chelle.
Nigeria, drawn into Group D, will face tough competition from Congo, Senegal, and Sudan. The Super Eagles will kick off their CHAN campaign against Senegal on August 5.
