
Following the directive of President Bola Tinubu, the victims of the recent Suleja fuel tanker explosion have been moved to tertiary medical centers in Abuja for specialized treatment.
A statement by the Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Information and National Orientation Rabiu Ibrahim, says a total of 20 individuals have been admitted to Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, while two others were transferred to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi.
It explains that the victims were accompanied by medical personnel and their family members to ensure a smooth transition and to provide continuous care at the designated referral hospitals.
According to the statement, Niger State Government has expressed appreciation to the Federal Government for its swift response to the tragedy.
The Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation will continue to monitor the situation and provide timely updates to the public.
The explosion, which occurred in Suleja, resulted in multiple casualties and prompted immediate action from both state and federal authorities to facilitate the victims’ transfer and ensure their well-being.
